Liberty Farm Herbal Walks

Autumn materia medica - event poster

Collaborative Project with Liberty Farm CIC

Prior to coronavirus, Liberty Farm arranged for us to organise some herb identification walks for their clients to share information about them and give examples of how they have been used in herbal remedies and preparations. We were unable to conduct the walks and LF wanted to continue bringing people and nature together, so we collaborated on an exciting new venture. LF found suitable walks local to their clients, made a video of them and then passed them on to us for identification and elaboration.

The areas we covered were quite far ranging – from Platts Fields Park to Hobson’s Moor and provided plenty of interest and some head scratching back here in Saddleworth. The final results have been well received and we are planning to collaborate further over the winter months.
